Jackson, Soneson, and Grell Named to DIII All-OCCAC; Jackson Named DIII Player of the Year

May 29, 2026 - - Three members of the Lorain County Community College baseball team were recognized by the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference after being named to the OCCAC Division III All-Conference Team this week. The trio helped lead LCCC to the most wins in program history since joining the NJCAA ranks. Their selections also marked the most All-OCCAC honorees in a single season in school history as an NJCAA program.

The Commodores earned a 4-3 victory and fell 17-2 in Saturday’s doubleheader at ForeFront Field in Avon before splitting Sunday’s games at Miami-Hamilton with a 3-1 loss in game one before bouncing back with a 5-1 win in game two.
Commodores Baseball Team Partners With Lake Erie Crushers

March 5, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College baseball team has announced an exciting new partnership with the Lake Erie Crushers, a semi-professional minor league baseball team based in Avon, Ohio. Beginning with the upcoming 2026 season, the Commodores will use ForeFront Field for 20 games (10 doubleheaders) as well as 10 practices over the course of the season.

March 1, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College baseball team dropped both games of a Saturday road doubleheader at Westmoreland County Community College, falling 16-6 in the opener and 11-3 in Game 2 in their first taste of action in the 2026 season after losing four games last weekend to weather. The Commodores totaled 10 hits and nine runs on the day while drawing 11 walks.
