October 27, 2022 - - Lorain County Community College's volleyball team got their 14th win of the season with a straight set victory against Delta College in round one of the NJCAA Region XII DIII Tournament, but saw their season come to an abrupt end with a loss to the No. 1 seeded Owens Community College Express immediately after.
The win against Delta (7-14) came easy for LCCC, dismantling the Pioneers 25-14, 25-16, and 25-22. But for as much success as the Commodores had against Delta, they equally struggled against Owens, committing 19 errors to Owens' four in the loss (25-12, 25-14, 25-9).
