January 31, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team led from start to finish in a 123–107 victory over Hocking College at the Ewing Activities Center Gymnasium.
The Commodores never trailed in the contest and opened the game on a 24–2 run to take early control. LCCC built a 60–36 halftime advantage and led by as many as 30 points in the first half. The opening half was capped by a half-court shot from Cole Hecei (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake HS) as time expired.
Ike Rowser (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) delivered a standout performance, scoring 41 points on 15-of-22 shooting, including 10-of-13 from three-point range, while adding 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. Julian Daniels (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds. Aven Kielian (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) added 19 points and nine assists, while Jayveon Roe (Euclid, Ohio/Villa Angela–St. Joseph HS) contributed 16 points and nine rebounds.
Dennis Pettis Jr. (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) finished with 15 points and six assists.
As a team, LCCC shot 58 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point range, knocking down 13-of-23 from beyond the arc. The Commodores outrebounded Hocking 46–37, recorded 23 assists, forced 19 turnovers, and scored 28 points off turnovers. LCCC also held a 66–62 advantage in points in the paint and a 14–6 edge in fast-break points.
