Volleyball Holding Weekly Open Gyms throughout Spring Inside Ewing Fieldhouse

February 4, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College women's volleyball team will host open gyms throughout the spring for full-time students interested in joining the Commodores for the Fall 2026 season.  Open gyms will be held on Mondays inside the Ewing Activities Center on LCCC's Elyria Campus from 8–9:30 p.m. and will continue through May.

LCCC is coming off a successful season that saw Gabriella Habeck (Huron, Ohio/Edison HS) earn First Team All-OCCAC honors and Ally Rumancik (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Olmsted Falls HS) earn Second Team All-OCCAC recognition. Habeck also was named NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American following the season.

Under Head Coach Ted Whitsel, the Commodores have made three NJCAA National Finals appearances, including a national runner-up finish in 2014. Whitsel was named OCCAC Coach of the Year in 2022.
