Volleyball’s Habeck Makes NJCAA DIII Second Team All-American
December 10, 2025 - - Lorain County Community College sophomore Gabriella Habeck (Huron, Ohio/Edison HS) has been named to the NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American list for the 2025 women's volleyball season, becoming one of the nation's top recognized players at the two-year collegiate level.
Habeck was the heart of the Commodores' offense throughout the year, finishing the season with 216 kills and a .199 hitting percentage over 59 sets, while averaging 3.66 kills per set—the top mark in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and 14th nationally among DIII players. She also ranked fifth in total kills across the conference and served as one of LCCC's most consistent and dynamic scoring threats.
This national honor adds to a standout résumé for Habeck, who has collected multiple postseason awards during her two seasons with the Commodores. She earned OCCAC All-Conference Second Team honors in 2024 before elevating her play even further to secure a spot on the OCCAC All-Conference First Team in 2025.
"It's great that Ella has again been recognized for her outstanding play," Head Coach Ted Whitsel said. "She's made a huge impact on our team these last two years, and there is no one more deserving. From a coach's perspective, Ella was all a coach could ask for, both on and off the court."
