Habeck, Rumancik Earn All-Conference Honors for LCCC Volleyball
November 13, 2025 - - Lorain County Community College sophomores Gabriella Habeck (Huron, Ohio/Edison HS) and Ally Rumancik (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Olmsted Falls HS) have been named to the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) All-Conference Team for the 2025 women's volleyball season. Habeck earned First Team All-OCCAC honors, while Rumancik was selected to the Second Team.
Habeck was the heart of the Commodores' offense with 216 kills and a .199 hitting percentage over 59 sets, averaging 3.66 kills per set, which ranked first in the OCCAC. She also finished fifth in total kills across the conference. This marks her second straight All-Conference recognition after earning Second Team honors in 2024.
"It's great that Ella has again been recognized by our conference for her outstanding play for a second straight year," Head Coach Ted Whitsel said. "She's made a huge impact on our team these last two years, and there is no one more deserving. From a coach's perspective, Ella was all a coach could ask for, both on and off the court."
Rumancik, LCCC's libero, anchored the defense this season, ranking fourth in total digs (339) and second in digs per set (5.75) in the conference. She also tallied 37 service aces and 28 assists while appearing in all 16 matches.
Whitsel commended Rumancik's resilience and effort, saying, "It's great that Ally was able to get back on the court after having to sit out last season due to an injury. She fought in every match, and her stats reflect her determination to help the team any way she could. Multiple coaches recognized her effort and ability during the season—no higher honor than to be singled out by your opponent."
