Habeck Wins OCCAC Player of the Week Honors

October 21, 2025 – Lorain County Community College sophomore Gabriella Habeck has been named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Player of the Week for the week of October 21, 2025.  The award marks her first of the season and the third of her career.

Habeck was a dominant force at the net in LCCC's two victories over Terra State and Clark State last week, helping the Commodores close out their home schedule in style.  Over eight sets of action, she totaled 38 kills, six service aces, and hit an impressive .371, continuing her season-long trend as one of the most efficient hitters in the conference.

In the win against Terra State, Habeck recorded 19 kills on just 34 attempts (.471) along with two aces and eight digs.  She followed that performance with another 19-kill outing against Clark State, adding nine digs, a block, and two aces.

Habeck continues to lead the Commodores in kills and kills per set serving as a key offensive catalyst and team leader throughout the season.  Among her peers in the OCCAC, she ranks third in total kills (200), third in kills per set (3.85), and sixth in hitting percentage (.225).
