October 20, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College women's volleyball team closed out its home schedule in winning fashion, defeating Clark State College 3–1 (25–21, 24–26, 25–12, 25–15) on Saturday morning inside the Ewing Activities Center Gymnasium.
After splitting the first two sets, the Commodores dominated the third with a blistering .400 team hitting percentage and never looked back.
Sophomore Gabriella Habeck (Huron, Ohio/Edison HS) once again powered the offense with 19 kills, a .270 hitting percentage, and 10 digs, finishing her home career with another standout performance. Freshman Sydney Robinson (Oberlin, Ohio/Firelands HS) added 9 kills and 3 blocks, while freshman Jaleah Wright (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) contributed 7 kills and a .333 hitting percentage.
The freshman tandem of Madelyn Peters (North Ridgeville, Ohio/North Ridgeville HS) and Jahieda Figueroa (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS) paced the offense as Peters recorded an impressive 22 assists, 7 kills, and 14 digs, while Figueroa added 13 assists.
Defensively, sophomore Ally Rumancik (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Olmsted Falls HS) was everywhere on the court with 25 digs and 3 service aces, while Gabbie Barrison (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS) tallied 4 kills and 4 blocks.
As a team, the Commodores hit .197 and served up 9 aces on offense while defending at the net with 10 blocks.

The Commodores will hit the road for their final match of the season against Lakeland Community College on Wednesday, October 22, at 6 p.m. before heading into the NJCAA Region 12 Division III Championship against Delta College in University Center, Mich., on October 28.
