Recap

With the score tied 2-2 in the early going,  LCCC used a 7-2 run to pull ahead of the Triceratops aided by a group effort in kills from Todd, Riley, Williams, and Niyanna Flowers (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS). Tri-C would inch back.  Using a 4-0 run of their own, they cut the Commodore lead down to one and the teams would trade points until LCCC started to pull away 17-14 to force a triceratops timeout. Out of the break, the Commodores got points from Williams and Flowers with a couple of kills and Riley put up a service ace to put the set out of reach.

Set two saw the Commodores pull out to an 11-2 lead.  After TriC got the scoring started, Josie Filice (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood HS) answered immediately with a kill to tie the contest.  From there it was a 10-1 run for LCCC with kills by Kylie Zocchi (Avon, Ohio/Avon HS), Filice, and Todd.  The lead would balloon to 20-7 with the Commodores completely in control.

Similar to the first two sets, Tri-C scored the first point.  And similar to the first two sets, LCCC would pull away from Tricertops thanks to some defense at the nets and some nifty tips by the Commodores.  Thanks to some kills from Todd and aces from Vidovich, the Commodores extended that lead to 17-10 before Tri-C called a timeout. Vidovich earned two more aces out of the timeout and Williams capped off the win with a kill that was assisted by Riley.
