Volleyball's Maggie Riley Named OCCAC Player of the Week

August 30, 2022 - - Lorain County Community College Commodore volleyball received back-to-back conference player of the week awards in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference. 

Last week, LCCC's Chelsey Farris (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria HS) received her first OCCAC Player of the Week Award and this week the Commodores made it back-to-back for the conference's top weekly honor as freshman Maggie Riley (Elyria, Ohio/Midview HS) received the laurel this week.  

Riley was a setting machine last week as she recorded 116 assists as LCCC went 2-2 in their matches, winning last Wednesday against No. 7 Finger Lakes Community College and then against Jackson College on Saturday (both victories coming via sweeps) before falling to St. Clair County Community College and Mott Community College in the Owens Invitational. 

This season, Riley is averaging 7.73 assists per set, has 8 service aces and 41 digs in four matches played.
