Chelsey Farris Wins Second OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week Award

September 13, 2022 - Chelsey Farris has been named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for September 5-11, 2022.  It is the second time she has won the OCCAC's top weekly award. 

Farris had 15 kills against only one error to accumulate a .583 hitting percentage in the Commodore's win against the Lakeland Community College Lakers last week.  The Elyria native also had five digs, three service aces, and one solo block.

Farris has exploded onto the OCCAC scene averaging 3.77 kills/set and hitting .366 in just six contests for the Commodores.  Last Wednesday's contest was her third straight match with 10+ kills.  Her kills per set mark is tops in the conference, and her hitting percentage is third.

Harris first won the weekly conference award on August 22, 2022 after posting 21 kills in a five-set comeback win in her LCCC debut against the Edison State Chargers on August 20, 2022.

For LCCC volleyball in 2022, this is the third OCCAC Player of the Week award in the first four weeks of the season.
