Chelsey Farris Earns Third OCCAC Player of The Week Honor

October 5, 2022 - - For the third time this season, Lorain County Community College sophomore Chelsey Farris has been named the top volleyball player of the week in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.  She previously took home the honor on August 22 and September 12, 2022.

Farris (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria HS) had a blistering week on the volleyball court.  She accumulated 55 kills and averaged a .339 hitting percentage in three matches.  She had a career-high 31 kills in a five-set thriller against the Cuyahoga Community College Triceratops on September 29 and followed that up with a 17-kill, .571 hitting match against Hocking on October 1.

On the season, Farris is tops in the OCCAC in kills per set with 4.16 and points per set with 5.3.  She is second in hitting percentage with .364 and blocks per set with .95.  She is fifth in solo blocks with 24.
