Women’s Basketball Holding Summer Open Gyms

May 26, 2026 - - The Lorain County Community College women's basketball team will host open gyms throughout the summer for full-time students interested in joining the Commodores for the 2026-27 season.  Open gyms will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays inside the Ewing Activities Center Gymnasium on LCCC's Elyria Campus from 6–8 p.m. and will continue throughout the summer.

LCCC enters the upcoming season under the direction of Head Coach Brandon Lawler, who will begin his third season leading the Commodores.  A former student-athlete and alumnus of Lorain County Community College, Lawler has coached two NJCAA All-Americans during his tenure in Ally Winnen (Lorain, Ohio/Elyria Catholic HS) and Abbey Schmitz (Amherst, Ohio/Firelands HS).
