December 10, 2025 - - Lorain County Community College fell 77–29 to Cuyahoga Community College on Wednesday at the Ewing Activities Center Gymnasium.
LCCC was led by Abbey Schmitz (Amherst, Ohio/Firelands HS), who scored a team-high 16 points and added eight rebounds, five steals, and two blocks while going 10-of-14 from the free-throw line. Clara McCown (Oberlin, Ohio/Oberlin HS) finished with 11 points and a team-best 11 rebounds, her second straight double-double.
Abi Rhoades (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion HS) added six rebounds, and Chloe Meng (Elyria, Ohio/First Baptist Christian) contributed four boards off the bench.
The Commodores collected 37 rebounds, including 13 on the offensive end, and recorded 11 steals. LCCC converted 11-of-19 free throws and held Tri-C to just two made three-pointers.
Cuyahoga led 37–11 at halftime and maintained control in the second half to close out the conference matchup.
