Men’s Cross Country Finishes 7th At NJCAA National Championships
November 8, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College men's cross country team competed at the NJCAA Division III National Championships on Saturday in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The meet was held in near-freezing temperatures with blizzard conditions, creating one of the most challenging races of the season.
As a team, the Commodores finished seventh overall in a field of 14 teams. It marks the sixth time in the Jim Powers era that the Commodores have recorded a top-10 finish at the national championship meet.
Leading the Commodores was Jared Robinson, who finished 17th overall with a time of 28:52.2 over the 8-kilometer course. Close behind was Franco Gallo, placing 18th at 28:54.9. Brady Hurst finished 52nd with a time of 31:01.9, followed by Bailey Thacker in 67th at 32:16.5 and Tanner Sweene in 69th at 32:29.2. Mitchell Jackson placed 73rd with a time of 33:10.2, and Jesse Collins rounded out the team in 91st at 35:17.1.
