LCCC Men’s Cross Country Ranked 7th Nationally in Latest Coaches’ Poll

October 3, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College men's cross country team has earned national recognition again, coming in at No. 7 in the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NJCAA Division III National Coaches' Poll. 

 

The Commodores have been led this season by standout runners Franco Gallo (Avon, Ohio/Avon HS) and Jared Robinson (Grafton, Ohio/Midview HS). Both athletes turned in strong performances at last weekend's All-Ohio Intercollegiate Classic, an elite field that featured more than 380 runners, including competitors from top cross-country programs across the state.  Robinson finished 103rd overall, while Gallo placed 170th. 

 

Next Up: 

The Commodores will look to build on their national ranking when they return to competition on Friday, October 3, at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational, with the race scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
