Men’s Club Soccer Falls To Jamestown, 3-0

September 7, 2025 - - The Lorain County Community College men's club soccer team put together a gritty defensive effort on Sunday, but came up short against Jamestown Community College in a 3-0 loss at the LCCC Soccer Field in Elyria.

Jamestown (5-2) set the tone early, scoring twice in the first half before adding a third goal just minutes into the second half. Despite the early deficit, the Commodores refused to fold, leaning on strong play in net to keep the contest within reach.

Goalkeepers Robert Barnes (Wellington, Ohio/Wellington HS) and Steven Adams (Strongsville, Ohio/St. Edward HS) combined for 19 saves on the afternoon. Barnes started the match and turned away nine shots in the opening half. Adams took over after the break and came up with 10 saves, holding Jamestown scoreless for nearly 40 minutes and making several key stops late to keep the Commodores competitive.
