Pettis Jr. Wins OCCAC Player of the Week

November 14, 2024 - - Dennis Pettis Jr. (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain HS), of the Lorain County Community College men's basketball team, was awarded the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference's Player of the Week award on Tuesday after the freshman averaged 18 points per game and shot over 40% from the field in two contests.

Pettis Jr. scored 14 against the Community College of Allegheny County on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, with three rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

Four days later, on Saturday, November 9 against No. 7 DIII Sandhills Community College, he scored 22 points and had six rebounds, four blocks, and three steals.

In three games this season, Pettis Jr. is averaging 14.3 points per game, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 steals.
