Double-Doubles Get Quante May Named OCCAC Player of the Week

December 13, 2022 - - With two double-doubles during last week's contests, Quante May (Lorain, Ohio/Horizon Science Academy) is the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of Week.  This is the first time in May's collegiate career that he has won the weekly award from the OCCAC.   

May averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and over two steals in two games for the Commodores.  Against Cuyahoga Community College, he scored 15 and had 10 rebounds.  Three days later, he followed that up with 25 points and 10 rebounds against Clark State Community College. 

May has positioned himself amongst the elite in the OCCAC this season, ranking in the top ten in various categories including blocks, steals, 3-point percentage, offensive rebounds, and rebounds per game.
