Jerron Warner Leads Commodores to Perfect Start in NJCAAE Smash Bros. Play

September 23, 2025 – The Lorain County Community College Esports team opened up their fall season in the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) Fall Season with D1 and D2 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate competition, along with a Valorant matchup.

Division I
The Commodores opened their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Division I season strong behind sophomore Jerron Warner (AdventCD). Warner went a perfect 2-0 on the night, defeating Aaron Coe (Gambledork) of SUNY Onondaga Community College in a dominant 3-0 sweep, followed by another 3-0 victory over Joshua Bolman (Joshwah) of Northwest State Community College. With his flawless start, Warner set the tone for the D1 squad's fall campaign.

In Rainbow 6 Siege with the team of Jacob Kyer, Noah Duncan, Anthony Moore, Baron Jones, and Lucas Hurley facing off against Lackawanna College. Despite a strong effort, LCCC fell 2-0 in the match.

Division II
The Division II squad had a busy night with four matches. Austin Lukachko (NeuRabbit) battled hard but fell in a close 3-2 match to Jacob Moyer (F25) from USC Sumter, before bouncing back to claim a 3-0 sweep over Comet Hanney (Comet H) of Terra State Community College.

Traceton Bell (Bellboy) also went 1-1 on the night. He secured a victory by forfeit against Benjamin Butler of North Central Michigan, then dropped a tough match 3-0 to Escher Hine (Lefty) from SUNY Onondaga Community College.
