SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week - April 6-12, 2026

Leo Soneson (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood HS) is the LCCC SUBWAY MARKETPLACE Athlete of the Week for the week of April 6–12, 2026.

Soneson contributed on both the mound and at the plate during the week, recording two game-winning home runs and a save in LCCC’s games against Bryant & Stratton College and Kent State Tuscarawas.

Against Bryant & Stratton, Soneson hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning to lead the Commodores to a 7-3 win in the second game of a doubleheader.

He followed with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning in the first game of a doubleheader against Kent State Tuscarawas, completing a comeback after LCCC erased a six-run deficit.

In the second game against Kent State Tuscarawas, Soneson earned his fifth save of the season, pitching a perfect 1-2-3 inning to secure a 5-2 victory and the Commodores’ 10th win of the season.
